Teriyaki Chicken Bao
I was writing recipe for “Steamed Bao buns” and I ended up with quite some buns. This teriyaki chicken Bao was a spontaneous idea, I always loved teriyaki chicken rice, the tenderness of chicken thigh and that sweet sweet sauce just makes my mouth drooling, such a comforting combination. The truth is, I prepared them again the following day because they were just too good!!
You could replace chicken thighs with chicken breast, though, the flavour might reduce.
Press on chicken thighs during frying boots cooking time.
If you have no Sake near by, replace with another type of liquor that is about 20% alcohol.
